Takoba Heights Ministries has been established to fulfill the mandate of our Lord Jesus Christ that is found in Matthew 28:18, 19 - "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you..." Having the command ever before us, we will preach the gospel to all people of all cultural, socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.

BACKGROUND BEHIND THE NAME "TAKOBA" ~
"Takoba" is the original spelling found in the history of Muckleshoot documentations for the name "Mt. Rainier" with "k" pronounced "qu" in the back of the throat. The Lushootseed native language used in the Puget Sound region differed slightly in the local Puget Sound tribes. Muckleshoot Lushootseed for Mt. Rainier is təqʷubəʔ meaning "snow capped mountain".
"Takoba" is also a double-edged sword used in Northern Africa. This was significant in selecting the name TAKOBA HEIGHTS MINISTRIES as our Apostolic ministry name.
